Dear Friends,
For those of you who have been following the construction of the P-51
Mustang Pedal Plane that I have been building, here are some photos of
the construction process and the final result. Plans for the project
are available through the EAA book store. There are several different
designs. Besides the P-51, there is a Christen Eagle design, a Gee Bee
racer, and a Pietenpol among others. The plans are $20 and include a
detailed set of instructions as well as full size patterns for all of
the parts. All of the material used in the construction can be found at
any hardware store. I spent about 120 hours over 3 months on the
project. The results are better than I expected and it's a big hit with
my three year old grandson.
